A Conversation on Right to Counsel & Lowering Rent Cap to Reduce Evictions

Community Alliance of Tenants and the Eviction Representation for All (ERA) campaign teamed up for a conversation about how their respective campaigns to lower the rent cap across Oregon and provide everyone in eviction court with legal counsel will keep people housed.

ERA’s campaign, Measure 26-238 is up for a vote on May 16th, 2023 in Multnomah County while legislation to lower the rent cap, Senate Bill 611 is currently being considered in the Oregon Legislature’s long session.
